Introducing Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea's economy has grown dramatically over the past two decades, currently further work is under way to make it one of the leading African economy by 2030.

Equatorial Guinea gained independence from Spain in 1968, and the discovery of massive oil reserves in the mid-1990s means that the country is now one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. The wealth of the country continues to grow as Equatorial Guinea strengthens its relationship with allies across Africa, Europe, the US and Asia.

The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea occupies the Head of State, embodies the National Unity and represents the entirety of the Nation. He is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of State Security. He is elected through direct, secret and universal suffrage by a relative majority of validly issued votes for a mandate of seven renewable years.

I am honoured to serve as the 1st Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to India and strengthen already warm and friendly relations between both countries, dating back to pre-independence era of Equatorial Guinea in 1968.
