Instrument of ratification dated 19th of December 2018

On the 19th of December 2018, the Government of Equatorial Guinea has ratified & signed the following instrument of ratification:

1. The Creation of Joint Commission Agreement between Equatorial Guinea & India.

2. The Visa Exemption Agreement for holders of Diplomatic, Official & Service Passport.

3. The Joint Commission Agreement regarding the Establishment of International Solar Alliance.

Equatorial Guinea is one of 24 countries from Africa, and 122 in the world which are a part of International Solar Alliance. Vision and mission of the International Solar Alliance is to provide a dedicated platform for cooperation among solar resource-rich countries where the global community, including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporates, industry, and other stakeholders, can make a positive contribution to assist and help achieve the common goals of increasing the use of solar energy in meeting energy needs of prospective ISA member countries in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable and sustainable manner.

During the recently held conference of the Solar International Alliance and the Renewable Energy Forum, held on 14*17th of January at the National Exhibition Center of Abu Dhabi, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea was represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Equatorial Guinea, headed by the Secretary of State, César Augusto Hinestrosa Gómez, on behalf of the Minister, Miguel Ekua Ondo.
