President receives business delegation from India

The President granted an audience to Anki Maganti, Director general leading the delegation from Soma Group/Omega S.L., on a visit to our country from India.
Chiefs from Soma Group/Omega S.L. want to invest in small and medium-sized enterprises, and in the infrastructure sector in our country, within the framework of the good relations between peoples and governments of Malabo and New Delhi.
The Minister for foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeón Oyono Esono, and the new Ambassador before the Indian government, accompanied H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo during the meeting with the delegation.

Interview with Head of State
After taking part in events to commemorate the 51st Anniversary of National Independence, on 12th October, in the City of La Paz, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo granted an interview on the afternoon of the 13th to journalists from an Israeli media outlet.

The Head of State responded to questions on the various stages that the Republic of Equatorial Guinea had gone through to 2019, perspectives regarding the future, and diplomatic relations with Israel, among others.
The President also referred, as a pan-Africanist, to his political vision for the continent, whose countries must fully assume the budget of the African Union.
In addition, he spoke about the results of the political programme of the Government he leads for the development of the nation, focussed above all on carrying out infrastructure projects.
The Head of State wishes to strengthen diplomatic relations between Malabo and Tel Aviv. Our country now has an embassy in Israel, and it is hoped that the country replicates this initiative. “We are likewise going to establish contact with entrepreneurs and technicians for the transfer of technology, and we welcome Israeli tourists because Equatorial Guinea is a country that loves Israel”, he added.
